Michael Bonsignore has been teaching young children as a classroom teacher for the past 35 years. A “maker and tinkerer” himself, he has always brought his love and interest in building and inventing to children under various umbrellas. He did this first through “Simple Machines” then “Design Technology and Engineering” and now through “Maker”. He is presently a classroom teacher of 8-10-year-olds at the Carolina Friends School in Durham, NC.

Jenni Scoggin has been teaching young children as a classroom teacher for 9 years. The Maker’s classroom has been the perfect place to bring together her love of art and design and teaching children. Prior to teaching, Jenni worked with graphic designers to organize and create print and website materials in the music industry. This technology background was a great foundation for her to explore new technologies that could work in a Maker’s classroom. She is presently a teacher of 8-10-year-olds at Carolina Friends School.
